Rural Surveyor - Estate Management & Consultancy
Location: Guildford
Our client is offering an excellent opportunity for a Rural Surveyor to join their highly regarded Land Management and Consultancy team in Guildford. This role provides the chance to work with a respected portfolio of rural estates and deliver a broad range of professional services to some of the most prominent landowners in the region.
The successful candidate will take on a varied workload, combining estate management with professional advisory responsibilities. The Guildford team is known for its technical expertise and strong client relationships, and this role offers scope to contribute meaningfully to both day-to-day operations and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as principal agent for a selection of estate management clients.
- Conducting estate and farming business reviews.
- Advising on diversification projects and strategic land promotion.
- Undertaking secured lending and other professional valuations.
- Leading and managing a high-performing team.
- Maintaining and strengthening relationships with a prestigious client base.
Candidate Profile
Essential Skills & Experience:
- MRICS-qualified rural surveyor with experience across a range of estate and consultancy projects.
- Strong leadership potential and the ability to manage and support a team.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Calm and professional under pressure, with a flexible approach to work.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential matters.
Qualifications
- Relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
- MRICS qualification (Rural pathway preferred).
- Full, valid UK driving licence.
Experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Previous experience working to deadlines and managing a team.
