Rural Valuer - East Midlands
Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Rural Valuer to join their Stamford office and take a leading role in coordinating valuation work across the East Midlands. This is a key position within a respected rural consultancy, offering the opportunity to lead a team of valuers, manage your own portfolio, and contribute to the continued growth of the business.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality valuation reports for a range of purposes, while also providing professional guidance and support to colleagues. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking initiative, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is confident managing both people and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertaking valuations for a variety of purposes, including loan security, tax, inheritance, and estate planning.
- Producing clear, accurate, and high-quality reports.
- Managing and overseeing the use of major valuation portals.
- Leading and supporting a team of valuers across the region.
- Providing professional advice and guidance to colleagues.
- Managing your own valuation workload efficiently and to a high standard.
Candidate Profile
Essential Skills & Experience:
- RICS-qualified rural surveyor (essential) with significant post-qualification experience.
- Strong background in agricultural and rural residential valuations.
- Confident in using Word, Excel, and mapping software.
- Experience working across multiple office locations or a regional setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to inspire and support others, with a positive and approachable manner.
- Strong commercial awareness and sound professional judgement.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high standards.
- Discreet and professional in handling confidential matters.
- Comfortable networking, influencing, and negotiating when required.
Desirable:
- FAAV qualification.
- Experience in development or planning appraisal work.
Qualifications
- Relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
- MRICS qualification (essential).
- RICS Registered Valuer (essential).
- FAAV membership (advantageous).
