About the Role
You'll be at the heart of growing sales across the domestic and commercial landscape market, with the option to get involved in retail sales too. You'll adopt and develop existing accounts, generate fresh business, and work closely with marketing, procurement, despatch, and production teams to deliver outstanding service. For the right person, this role could quickly progress into a management position either straight away or as the next step in your career journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and nurture relationships with existing accounts, ensuring long-term growth.
- Proactively generate new business opportunities and promote the company in the marketplace.
- Follow up on quotes, converting them into confirmed orders whenever possible.
- Achieve target margins across both in-house production and traded stock.
- Work closely with the marketing team to ensure spend is effectively targeted and aligned with sales goals.
- Assist with promoting the business at trade shows, events, and other industry opportunities.
- Support fellow sales team members as needed to maintain consistent service levels.
- Provide clear, timely reports on progress against targets, highlighting challenges and offering solutions.
- Ensure all sales orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of sales processes and systems.
- Uphold company quality standards in all aspects of your work.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operations.
About You
You're not just a salesperson; you're a relationship builder.
- Self-motivated, organised, and detail-oriented, with a knack for spotting opportunities.
- Experienced, at least 2 years in horticultural or landscaping sales (wholesale, commercial, or domestic).
- Comfortable using CRM or sales processing systems, and confident collaborating with internal teams.
- A communicator who thrives on turning quotes into orders and exceeding targets.
- Ready to roll up your sleeves and contribute to a growing, people-focused business.
