(Senior) Key Account Manager

Job description

An established, Fresh Produce business is looking to strengthen its UK commercial team with the appointment of a Key Account Manager, with a senior opportunity also available for candidates bringing deeper retailer ownership and strategic leadership experience.

This is a high-impact role focused on managing and growing strategic UK retail accounts, driving category performance, and delivering sustainable commercial growth.

The Role

  • Managing and developing major UK retail accounts
  • Negotiating commercial agreements, JBPs, pricing and promotional mechanics
  • Identifying growth opportunities through data, insight and market analysis
  • Monitoring performance against KPIs, forecasting and managing risk
  • Collaborating closely with supply chain, operations, finance and senior leadership
  • Driving category performance through proactive, data-led decision making

For the Senior role, there will be additional scope around:

  • Strategic account leadership and long-term planning
  • Influencing wider commercial strategy
  • Mentoring or supporting more junior commercial team members

About You

  • Experience in Fresh Produce
  • Proven track record managing UK retail customers
  • Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation skills
  • Confident working with data, insights and performance metrics
  • Comfortable operating autonomously while collaborating cross-functionally
  • Clear, confident communicator with strong presentation skills
