Are you a multi-skilled engineer with a passion for improving production facilities and reducing breakdowns? Do you have experience working in a manufacturing environment with automated production lines, packaging machinery and conveyors? Do you have excellent communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills? If so, you might be the perfect fit for our Assistant Maintenance Manager role!

As an Assistant Maintenance Manager, you will work closely with the Maintenance Manager and the engineering team to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of our plant, equipment and production processes. You will be responsible for executing planned and emergency maintenance, ensuring compliance with health and safety and food safety standards, establishing maintenance policies and procedures, managing expenses and inventory, and providing excellent service to the business. You will also identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities and best practices to enhance the reliability and safety of our plant and personnel.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A time-served multi-skilled engineer, with a proven track record
• Mechanical/electrical fault-finding skills about maintenance and breakdowns
• Background working in a manufacturing environment
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
• Good communication skills
• Flexible approach to work
• Strong ability to work cross-functionally
• Experience working with automated production lines, packaging machinery and conveyors
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a small team
