They have been experiencing steady growth since forming in the 1980s and have established relationships with farmers and growers across the UK and Europe.

The job:

We are looking for an enthusiastic senior plant breeder who has the drive to expand and breed new onion varieties for the UK and European markets. You will be working closely with various scientific and international partners as you continue to develop plant genetics and varieties.

The person:

• We want to hear from candidates who have a background in plant breeding. - This could mean that you are currently working on vegetable, fruit or cereal breeding programs.
• You will have current knowledge of modern breeding techniques.
• Ideally, you will have worked with onions before and have an understanding of the breeding process.
• You will be happy to travel as required (there will be some European travel).
• You will be passionate, have strong interpersonal skills and be looking to develop a long term career with a growing business.
