Grower

Job description

Grower

Lincolnshire

£DOE + Accommodation + Full Training

Looking to grow your horticultural career in a high-tech, large-scale nursery?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the UK's largest young plant propagation nurseries, producing hundreds of millions of plants annually.

The business is expanding, and they're looking for a Grower to join the team.

If you've got some experience in commercial growing or propagation and looking to take a step up, this could be the role for you.

It offers full training, long-term development, and the chance to be part of something exciting.

The Role

As a Grower, you'll gain hands-on experience across all areas of nursery operations, supporting senior growers and learning the full crop production cycle. From pest monitoring to irrigation and machinery, you'll be involved in every stage of the growing process.

This is a full-time, permanent role with a clear pathway to develop your career further.

Day-to-Day You'll Be:

  • Assisting with crop care, including irrigation, pest and disease monitoring, and general husbandry
  • Implement biological, environmental, and cultural controls
  • Operating machinery, including seeding lines.
  • Collaborating with growers, production, and dispatch teams
  • Helping maintain glasshouse environments and crop hygiene.
  • Adhering to health and safety procedures at all times
  • Getting involved in new projects and learning how the whole nursery operates.

What You'll Need:

  • A qualification in horticulture (ideally with a commercial production focus) or industry qualifications such as PA1 and PA6.
  • A genuine interest in horticulture and a desire to build a long-term career.
  • Experience in commercial growing or propagation.
  • A hands-on, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to support occasional weekend work.

What You'll Get:

  • Full training and mentoring from experienced growers.
  • A clear development pathway into a grower role
  • Onsite accommodation available, if needed
  • 20 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
  • Pension scheme
  • Onsite parking
  • The chance to be part of a growing, forward-thinking business.
