As a growing organisation, we invest in new technology, employee development, and continuous improvement across all areas of production.
About the Role
As a Site Services Engineer, you will take ownership of the equipment that keeps the entire site running-air compressors, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, boilers, water systems and other essential utilities, including the site effluent treatment plant. You'll carry out planned and reactive maintenance, support continuous improvement, and work closely with production and engineering teams to maintain a reliable, compliant and energy-efficient environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, service and repair site utilities including air compressors, HVAC systems, refrigeration plant, boilers, water treatment systems and building services.
- Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) to ensure reliability, efficiency and compliance.
- Respond to breakdowns quickly and safely, diagnosing faults and restoring service with minimal disruption.
- Monitor system performance and energy usage, recommending improvements where possible.
- Support statutory inspections and ensure all utilities and building services meet legal and safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records and compliance documentation.
- Work with external contractors and specialist service providers as needed.
- Assist in the installation, commissioning and optimisation of new utilities equipment.
- Uphold strict health & safety and environmental standards across all activities.
- Provide support to the wider engineering team when required.
Requirements
- Experience in a similar site services, facilities, utilities or maintenance engineering role.
- Strong technical knowledge of air compressors, HVAC, refrigeration, boilers or similar systems.
- Relevant engineering qualification (electrical, mechanical or refrigeration).
- Confident in fault finding and diagnosing issues across mechanical and electrical systems.
- Good understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements for utilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and prioritise effectively.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A safety-first mindset with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
