Soft Fruit Manager

Norfolk

Know you're capable of managing more people and managing new projects, but just don't have the opportunity to do it?

This is your chance.

And you'll get to see your hard work on the supermarket shelves - definite bragging rights at family barbeques!

Due to internal promotion, they are now looking for someone to enhance the business further.

What you'll be doing

You'll be managing the production of soft fruit across this busy, protected site. In terms of the day-to-day, you'll be crop planning, forecasting, and managing the husbandry and pest management programmes.

You'll be reporting to the Head of Growing. This person has developed within the business himself, so there's so much more learning you can do.

You'll get to pass on your growing expertise to a team of enthusiastic growers and play a part in developing their careers too.

They want to hear your opinion. The business is continuing to evolve and develop, but they know they can't do this without people to coming up with and implementing ideas. You'll play a parting in this site go from strength to strength.

What you'll need

Commercial growing experience. You'll be coming in at a senior level, so you need to know what you're doing.

Soft fruit experience would be great - but experience in protected cropping will prove useful in any capacity.

You'll know your stuff when it comes to IPM, crop planning and all things crops.

People management will be second nature, you'll thrive on passing your knowledge on and developing high-performing teams.
