The Role

As Sous Chef, you'll support the Head Chef in delivering a varied, fresh menu while also taking on key kitchen management responsibilities. This includes stock control, ordering, rota planning, and ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained. You'll also help train and motivate the kitchen team, ensuring a smooth, efficient operation and a great dining experience for every customer.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a busy kitchen, ideally within daytime dining or contract catering
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • A passion for fresh, seasonal food and an eye for detail
  • Experience with stock management, ordering, and rota planning
  • Excellent knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen best practices
  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
  • Flexibility to work weekends and peak trading periods as required
