About Our Client
Our client is a growing food business with a focus on fresh, quality products. They supply some of the UK's major retailers with a variety of freshly grown products. They are vertically integrated and are very proud of their quality and sustainability programs. They source products from all over the world to meet the demands of the customers and add value to the consumers. The team offers a wealth of experience in technical, quality, development and supply chain and all work very closely together to get the job done right.

About The Role
You will be liaising with their suppliers around the world, predominantly in Africa, South America and Asia, in order to ensure they have the product required to meet their orders. You will be a key link within the business for both the commercial teams but also external suppliers. Your day-to-day with cover end-to-end supply chain from field to the retailers' stores. There will be a requirement for customer-facing experience as well to ensure the best information is available at all times. No two days are likely to be the same in this challenging and diverse role - there will always be challenges to overcome

The Ideal Candidate
Experience with a short shelf product would be very beneficial. Whether this is chilled food or fresh produce. They are open-minded on the level of experience you come in with whether it be 1-2 years or 10+. The knowledge of how product moves around the world is important. You will be a team player and an excellent communicator. Keeping customers up to date with any potential supply issues, developing forecasts, organising supply will all form part of this role.

Minimum Requirements
Experience in Air Freight and Sea Freight is crucial. In addition to the supply chain elements, any experience in Procurement and/or Commercial would be a real bonus.
