Sustainability Agri manager
Are you passionate about changing the world?
Do you want to work for a business that wants to positively impact the environment? They're not only looking to offset their own carbon footprint, but those of their suppliers too.
What's the role?
This is a brand new role with a very successful root veg grower that supplies retailers. They're putting this at the forefront of everything they do, and they need you to help.
Reporting into the Technical Director, you have a wealth of knowledge to lean on and a great support system. You'll see yourself drive positive change by enhancing sustainability in growing, packaging, and transportation.
You'll be building and nurturing client relationships, while collaborating with farm teams on impactful projects.
As well as this, you will take the lead in managing crucial aspects such as sampling for pesticides, irrigation water and soil nutrition. From your research, you'll then get to implement new procedures and policies to make a real change within the business.
You'll spend a part of your week at their main office and farm, and then out at the businesses other farms to make sure changes are implemented everywhere.
What skills do I need?
If you're a passionate advocate for sustainability with a technical focus on carbon foot printing (Carbon 1, 2, and 3), we want to hear from you.
Ideally, you'll have an understanding of farming practices, including compliance with Red Tractor and LEAF standards.
You might come from a farming background being regularly involved in audits, or you might be working in the supply chain but wanting to get on field. Either way, we want to hear from you.
Bring your expertise to drive our commitment to sustainable and responsible agricultural practices.
