Job Description:

We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Technical Administrator to join our tight-knit team. As a Technical Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet regulatory requirements and maintain the highest standards of quality. You will be responsible for conducting ingredient checks, ensuring that product specifications and labels comply with UK legislation, and handling customer complaints with professionalism and efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals with a keen interest in the food industry to kickstart their career in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular ingredient checks to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and approve product specifications and labels to ensure they meet UK legislation and customer expectations.
  • Investigate and respond to customer complaints in a timely and effective manner, working closely with relevant departments to address root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating documentation related to quality management systems, such as BRC (British Retail Consortium) standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and drive excellence across the organization.
  • Provide administrative support to the technical team, including data entry, filing, and correspondence management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or related field (graduates welcome).
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of UK food legislation and quality standards, including BRC requirements, is desirable.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
