Our Client

Our client is a fruit grower based in Kent and they're looking for a Trainee Farm Manager to join the team in a very varied and pressured role within the business. You will be involved in the practical side of the farm but you will also be involved in the understanding of Financial and planning of the farm as well.

The Role

This role will involve all areas of the farm so the person gets a good all-round insight to how the farm works with the hope that this person will in the end develop in to the Farm Manager. You will get involved in Fruit picking, Irrigation, Tree Planting, Husbandry, Agronomy, managing teams, Understanding the software platforms, Budgeting, Planning, researching different varieties and looking at ways to improve the efficiency and profitability of the farm.

The Candidate

The person that we are looking for is someone who can develop in to the Farm Manager for the future. They will over time become the face and voice of the farm so being able to know every aspect of the Farm operation is as important as being able to present themselves and the company in a good way to colleagues and also external customers
