Warehouse Manager

Job description

As Warehouse Manager, you will serve as the operational backbone of our organization. Reporting directly to the Group General Manager, you will transition from simply managing stock to owning the entire logistical lifecycle across our main hub and satellite storage units.

Your Leadership Skills:

You are more than a supervisor; you are a culture-builder. You will lead a dedicated team of seven, including warehouse operatives and delivery drivers. By conducting regular performance reviews and 1:1 sessions, you will foster a professional environment rooted in accountability and pride. Your presence on the floor ensures that your team is not just busy, but focused, safe, and highly efficient.

Strategic and Operational Impact:

  • Operational Oversight: Imagine the satisfaction of a perfectly synchronized warehouse. You will take full responsibility for the accurate receipt, processing, and storage of stock, ensuring that every movement is tracked and every square foot is optimized for safety and cleanliness.

  • Decisive Management: In a fast-paced environment, your ability to remain composed under pressure will be your greatest asset. You will be the final word on operational standards, making firm but fair decisions that balance speed with uncompromising safety.

  • Process Innovation: You will act as a bridge between the warehouse and the wider business. Utilizing our logistics software, you will monitor stock levels and identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce errors, and improve our bottom line.

  • Compliance Excellence: You will uphold the highest standards of Health & Safety. By maintaining meticulous documentation and readiness for audits, you ensure that our facility remains a benchmark for industry compliance.

The Ideal Person:

You are a proactive professional, perhaps currently a Senior Supervisor ready for your next career milestone or an established Manager seeking a role where you can truly leave your mark.

  • Experience: A proven track record in warehouse management or high-level supervision.

  • Capabilities: A confident communicator who balances a hands-on approach with high-level organizational strategy.

  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in logistics or stock management software; a forklift license is highly advantageous.

  • Commitment: Physically capable of managing a hands-on environment and willing to support the team on a rotational weekend basis during peak periods.

Details of the role:

This is a Monday to Friday role (with rotational weekend availability) designed for a leader who thrives on responsibility. You will find here a workplace that values professionalism, rewards proactive thinking, and trusts you to run your department with autonomy and precision.
