Warehouse Despatch Manager
Job description
A well‑established business is looking for an experienced and energetic Warehouse Despatch Manager to lead operations at its busy Paignton site. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast‑moving environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, efficient, and high‑quality service.
With a well-established, experienced team, you will have no problem with expertise across the shopfloor. Leaning on this and utilising this to help the business drive forward with process, and service levels will be a great opportunity for the right person.
The Role
- Leading day‑to‑day despatch operations to ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped on time
- Managing and developing warehouse teams across multiple functions.
- Overseeing goods‑out processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent customer service
- Maintaining stock integrity through effective systems use and regular checks
- Driving continuous improvement across workflow, productivity, and safety
- Working closely with production, customer service, and the wider logistics teams to keep operations running smoothly

About You
- Proven experience in warehouse or despatch management, ideally within FMCG, Food/Fresh Produce, or high‑volume fulfilment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support teams.
- Excellent organisational and problem‑solving abilities
- Confidence using warehouse systems and working with performance data
- A background in Continuous Improvement projects would be ideal.
- A solid understanding of health & safety standards and best practice
