The Garden Press Event 2026
A Day of Inspiration, Insight & Industry Connections
Last week, we jumped on the train to London for The Garden Press Event 2026 at the Business Design Centre. It was our first time exhibiting, and we were really pleased to be there amongst so many familiar faces!
As a highlight in the horticultural media calendar, the event brings together creative minds, innovative brands and influential press and content creators across the gardening industry. With over 90 exhibitors and a sold-out show, it was full of energy, ideas and beautiful displays.
Why We Were There
The main reason we wanted to be at the event was to champion the incredible garden industry, an industry that, let’s be honest, doesn’t always get shouted about as loudly as it should!
For many people outside the sector, there’s still a misconception that careers in gardening begin and end with working in a garden centre or picking plants in a nursery. But the reality is so much more exciting, diverse and commercially driven.
From product development, category management and supply chain, to brand marketing, NPD, E-commerce, design, sustainability and commercial leadership, the home & garden world is full of genuinely interesting, creative and future-focused career paths. And yet, so many people have no idea these opportunities even exist.
That’s a big part of why we went. To talk to brands, creators, journalists and suppliers about:
Showcasing the sector’s breadth of roles
Helping businesses attract talent from within and outside their usual pools
Highlighting why this industry is such a vibrant, passionate place to build a career
Highlights from the day
From established names to rising innovators, the exhibitor lineup included big names in gardening products, tools and outdoor living. We loved seeing so much creativity on show and connecting with journalists and creators planning content for the year ahead.
Many visitors stopped by our stand to chat about careers, recruitment trends in the industry, and the evolving needs of businesses looking for top talent right now. Others stopped by just for a chat and a catch-up!
What We Took Away
It was clear from every conversation that the gardening and home sector continues to evolve, with more opportunities for brands to tell compelling stories and for skilled professionals to find exciting roles across the industry.
Being part of this event reminded us why we love the sectors we recruit for: the passion, innovation and community spirit were palpable in every corner of the building.
For us, the Garden Press Event wasn’t just a showcase, it was a chance to learn, connect and to bring those insights back to our clients, candidates and colleagues.
Did we catch up with you there? Drop us a message, we’d love to hear your thoughts from the day too!
