We are working with a lovely and well-established walled garden and nursery who are looking for an assistant nursery manager to join the team.

About our Client

Our client are a specialist plant nursery and walled garden, which focus on a wide range of shrubs, perennials, climbers, and roses. They sell to the public and sell a variety of interesting plants, making it an extremely attractive place for customers to shop. We are now looking for an Assistant Nursery Manager to support this small but busy nursery.

About the Role

In this role, you will be working closely with the Nursery Manager to support all aspects of growing plants. Our client grows from propagation and cuttings through to harvest and you will play a key part from start to finish. Crop walking, pest and disease monitoring, and irrigation will all fall into your remit. As well as plant monitoring, you will also be looking after a small team, ordering stock, and offering customer advice.

The Ideal Candidate

This role is ideal for someone with a background in gardening or commercial growing. Knowledge of growing plants is essential as this is the main part of the role. PA1 and PA6 are desirable. There is room for progression in this role, so we are looking for someone with drive and enthusiasm.
