Assistant Packhouse Manager | Fresh Produce | Evesham

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
Hours: Flexibility needed

About Our Client

A leading fresh produce business is looking for an Assistant Packhouse Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient running of their packhouse, as well as managing the wider team. This Fresh Produce business is currently supplying high-quality produce into some of the UK's top Supermarkets.

About the Role

You will have a variety of responsibilities ranging from ensuring all work is carried out and completed with full awareness of Health & Safety policies, managing maintenance schedules, assisting in the development of packing plans in order to optimize technology, and successfully recruiting and managing the wider team.

You will work closely with the Head of Operations to ensure that the Packhouse function is operating to maximal effectiveness. In line with this, you will be responsible for organising and scheduling the production, shifts, and staffing levels throughout the business.

The Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have experience within Packhouse or Production, preferably with experience working with fresh produce, but not essential. You must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to identify and solve problems. It is also essential that you have awareness of Health & Safety legislation as well as managing and working within a set budget. With the business and environment being incredibly busy throughout most of the year, flexibility is key for this role and you must be willing to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in.
