We are working with a successful Garden Centre chain, who are looking for a Branch Manager to join their team. With 4 sites across the South of England, you will be joining a busy work environment, managing all aspects of the operation.
Reporting into the site director, you will be responsible for all operational aspects of the site, working closely with centre management, group buyers and directors. Maintenance, development, HR and administration and sales will all fall into your remit. You will liaise with other members of the management team, providing support and working together in areas such as compliance, cash handling, plant care, recruitment, and staff motivation. Other aspects of the role will include:
- Ensuring company procedures are adhered too
- Short life product management
- Achieving targets and minimising wastage
- Accurate pricing and Point of Sale material
- Dealing with customer complaints and queries.
You must have previous people management skills and be confident in running a large team of people. Communication skills are key, as you will be liaising will a number of people across all sections of the business. Horticultural knowledge is desirable, but not essential. Ideally, you will have experience working with a multi-site company.
