Category Manager | Maternity Cover | Spalding

We are currently working with a very highly regarded and forward thinking Fresh Produce business who are looking to appoint an experienced Category Manager for a 12 month intirim period for the reason of Maternity Cover. As a leader in their field, they have an impressive history of delivering great results to a number of Major Retailers. They have a reputation which is second to none and great track record of retaining and developing their staff.

The Role:-

This role will focus on the category relationship for a very core retail customer. You will utilise your category and data experience to drive relationships and make the most of any commercial opportunities within the customer. You will be adept at using Excel and know how to make the most of data to support large retail accounts. You will use these skills to ensure our client and their customers are reaching their target market, increasing market share and creating the best possible range of products in a very fast paced and short shelf life product environment. You will work very closely with the NPD, Commercial teams and other internal stakeholders to deliver the best options for the business and customers.


The Candidate:-
Given the nature of this being a Maternity Cover role, you will need to be available for circa a 12 month period.
You will have a background in some form of Category Management within the food sector, preferably fresh produce. You will have a proven, successful track record within category management, preferably with experience of managing a small team.
