Chief Financial Officer

What will the job entail?

This position will require expert reporting and candidates must be confident with PE board level interactions and negotiating with financial institutions. You'll play a pivotal part in shaping the business whilst overseeing and managing the Finance team. Other responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to the achievement of overall business objectives through the development and execution of the financial strategy.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to guide decision-making and growth initiatives.
  • In-depth understanding and analysis of margin, operating costs etc. to identify trends, risks and opportunities and provide data driven recommendations.
  • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports at monthly board meeting.
  • Ownership of company's debt financing and debtor management.
  • Cashflow management.
  • Negotiating loans/other facilities e.g. Invoice factoring.
  • Direct and manage the finance team to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and developed so that they carry out their responsibilities effectively.
  • Business partnering and application of financial information to all levels of management including Board of Directors & Investors.

What are we looking for?

You'll be a Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCMA/CIMA) with a minimum of six years in a senior finance role within food/beverage manufacturing. Proven experience of driving growth within the finance function and wider business. You must have previously worked and/or have a good understanding of PE backed businesses.

You'll work closely with the CEO and be a true business partner to both internal and external stakeholders. You will be involved in every aspect of the business, challenging our department heads and providing support and strong collaboration.

Experience working in a founder/start up environment would be advantageous and be excited by the pace and momentum when working in this environment. The business is keen to accelerate growth through commercial and strategic guidance and improving operational efficiencies.
