About Our Client
Our client is a leading commercial grower in the fresh produce industry, supplying the major UK retailers with a variety of quality British grown produce. They have innovated their growing methods and utilise cutting edge technology to grow quality products that can compete with imports from Holland, Spain and across the world. The business has gone through rapid growth since its inception and has potential for further expansion and growth.

About the Role
This role will provide strategic and financial insight and understanding to the finance team and wider business. You will work closely with the commercial team on-site and also the Managing Director and Finance Director. You will utilise your experience in a similar role to drive efficiencies and improvements in financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting. You will be comfortable challenging the data and analysing the information provided to ensure it's accuracy and, more critically, what the information is telling the business.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering commercial results in a fresh produce or fresh food business that supplies the major retailers. You will hold ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualifications and be able to apply best practise in the real world and be able to show your ability to deliver results. You be able to communicate with different stakeholders across the business (including non-finance personnel) to ensure the teams wider understanding. You will be able to work at real pace and understand the challenges in working in the fresh produce or fresh food sectors. The ideal candidate will understand commercial growing of fresh produce and the areas of potential cost oversight etc. within this process.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role you will need to hold relevant qualifications and have a background in a similar role supplying the major UK retailers with food/FMCG products. You will need to be a strong communicator and be able to give the finance team a voice within the wider business.

Salary
Our client has a degree of flexibility for the right candidate. DOE ~£50-65k+ + package
