Are you a hands-on, energetic Finance Manager with lots of experience managing and developing a team? Looking for a new challenge with a growing fresh produce business needing someone to support their Head of Finance?

About Our Client

Our client is a leading importer of fresh produce into the retail sector based south of Northampton. They're a growing business with the need for someone to lead the Finance team who are willing to roll their sleeves up and get involved wherever required.

About the Role

The main responsibilities for the role are to manage the day to day running of the finance and admin function (team of 20), promoting a culture of strong performance. Within this role you will manage 3 direct reports. You will take responsibility for internal financial management, ensuring all weekly, monthly, and annual management reporting is produced in a timely and accurate manner. Also ensure that all monthly balance sheet accounts are fully supported and reconciliations are reviewed and signed off. You will provide finance support to the Commercial, Operational and Technical Teams along with taking any other adhoc duties required by the Head of Finance.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an ambitious and hard-working Finance Manager with experience of managing a Finance team, preferably within the fresh produce or food manufacturing industry. You will have excellent leadership and people development skills with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to highlight and challenge relevant issues. You will have been involved in business partnering and have experience in building relationships with key stakeholders. A full professional accountancy qualification is required (CIMA / ACCA).
