I'm partnering with one of the UK's leading names in sustainable forestry and timber harvesting to find an experienced professional to join their team. This is your chance to contribute to projects that balance responsible forest management with commercial success, delivering long-term value for clients while safeguarding the future of the land. From woodland creation to harvesting, you will play a central role in shaping productive, well-managed forests.

Your Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality woodland management and forestry contracting services to a range of clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Prepare budgets, reports, work programmes, and grant applications.
  • Lead on both productive forestry operations and new woodland creation projects.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across forestry, business development, investment, and harvesting.
  • Grow and manage a varied client portfolio.
  • Ensure an excellent client experience while upholding the highest standards of forest management.

What You Need

  • Proven experience in forestry or a related sector.
  • Strong understanding of commercial practices and relationship management.
  • Knowledge of upland conifer forest management.
  • A collaborative approach, thriving in cross-functional teamwork.
  • Business development experience (advantageous).
  • Familiarity with the UK Forestry Standard, UKWAS, and Forestry Grant Schemes (desirable).
  • Membership of a professional body such as the Institute of Chartered Foresters (desirable).
  • Full UK driving licence.
