Glasshouse Grower
Chichester | Full-time | Competitive Salary + Career Growth

Do you have a passion for plants, an eye for detail, and a knack for turning temperature, humidity, and light into magic for fruit? If you're someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-tech horticultural environment, this is your chance to take ownership of something fresh (and delicious).

We're looking for a Glasshouse Grower to join a leading soft fruit business growing strawberries in state-of-the-art glasshouses, all year round. This is not your average farm gig - it's a hands-on, tech-savvy role where you'll be working at the heart of precision growing, and sustainable systems.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Monitoring and managing irrigation, fertigation, and climate control - dialling in every element to grow the perfect crop

  • Walking the crops daily to check for pests, diseases, plant health, and harvest readiness

  • Supporting the wider growing and husbandry teams to keep everything running smoothly from root to fruit

  • Maintaining biological controls and working closely on spray planning and execution

  • Collaborating with the Glasshouse Manager to plan out key jobs week-to-week

  • During harvest, carrying out regular checks to monitor quality, fruit size, timing, and weather factors

  • Keeping the growing environment, systems, and workspace in top condition

We're Looking for Someone Who:

  • Has solid experience in a commercial glasshouse or protected cropping environment (soft fruit is a big plus)

  • Can confidently make day-to-day decisions and spot things others might miss

  • Is computer literate and communicates clearly

  • Loves detail, data, and delivering quality crops every day

  • Has a full UK/EU driving licence

  • Is flexible to work weekends when needed

  • Is curious, self-motivated, and keen to keep learning and developing professionally

What's In It for You:

  • The chance to grow crops all year round in a modern, data-led environment

  • Work with a close-knit team of growers and tech-led farming professionals

  • A supportive business that values personal development and career progression

  • Involvement in real decision-making and the chance to make your mark

  • A role where your attention to detail makes a measurable impact every day

If you're ready to grow more than just great strawberries - and want to be part of a business that's pushing the boundaries of modern horticulture - this is the opportunity for you.
