We are working with a diverse fresh produce and farming group that has been growing exceptional crops since the 1800s. They have grown to become a staple name within the UK's fresh produce industry. The business has a clear vision of their future and is committed to investing in innovation and its people in order to continue growing fantastic fresh produce in a sustainable way. Looking forward, they have plans to double their protected cropping enterprise and are therefore seeking an ambitious Glasshouse Operations Manager to support them as they do this.

About the Role

This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Glasshouse Operations Manager to work in a forward thinking and fast paced environment. You will be responsible for the overall day to day running of the glasshouse and look to drive forward a culture of continuous improvement. You will also ensure that all crops are grown to the highest quality and that they exceed customer specifications. Other duties will include managing a state-of-the-art automation system, interacting with customers, motivating staff and guaranteeing that all food safety requirements are adhered to.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a Passionate and skilled Glasshouse Operations Managers who has experience in running a commercial glasshouse. You will be passionate about horticulture and have a strong technical knowledge of growing and growing systems. You will be a real people person and enjoy motivating and managing a team as well as interacting with their customers. You will also be forward thinking and understand different technologies and want to learn new ways of working. Fantastic communication skills are also a must.
