We're partnering with a grower supplying millions of plants each year to major retailers and independent garden centres nationwide. With significant investment in cutting-edge facilities and a commitment to producing the very best quality plants, this is your chance to join a thriving, ambitious business at an exciting stage of growth.

About the Business

Our client is renowned for their scale, quality, and innovation. From alpines to shrubs and perennials, their vast range of plants is trusted by customers across the UK. Operating across 20+ acres of modern, well-equipped growing facilities, they are dedicated to sustainable practices, continuous improvement, and nurturing both plants and people.

This is more than just a growing role, it's a chance to be part of a passionate team that takes pride in their craft and are shaping the future of the horticulture industry.

About the Role

As a Grower, you'll play a key role in the cultivation of over 700 alpine varieties - an exciting challenge that offers both variety and responsibility. No two days will be the same. Your tasks will include:

  • Crop Husbandry: Nurturing plants at every stage to ensure exceptional quality and consistency.
  • Pest & Disease Management: Monitoring crops and implementing preventative and responsive measures to protect plant health.
  • Irrigation & Nutrition: Managing watering schedules and feeding programmes to optimise growth and minimise waste.
  • Crop Planning & Organisation: Working alongside the growing team to meet production schedules and customer expectations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Helping to identify new growing methods, efficiencies, and sustainability practices.

You'll be part of a close-knit, skilled team where your expertise and input will be valued.

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone with:

  • Commercial Horticulture Experience - ideally with ornamentals, perennials, or alpines.
  • Technical Knowledge - confident in pest/disease identification, irrigation, nutrition, and crop management.
  • Passion & Pride - you care deeply about quality and thrive on seeing healthy plants flourish under your care.
  • Team Spirit - strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the business.
  • Ambition - a drive to learn, develop, and grow with the business.

PA1 & PA6 spraying certificates would be an advantage, but training can be provided for the right candidate.

What's in it for You?

  • A competitive salary tailored to your experience.
  • The chance to work with an unrivalled range of alpine varieties in a business at the forefront of the industry.
  • Career development opportunities - with ongoing investment in people, facilities, and training.
  • A supportive, passionate team who share your love of plants.
  • The satisfaction of contributing to a business that supplies leading retailers and garden centres across the UK.
