Our client is a progressive nursery business specialising in the propagation and production of vegetables, herbs and strawberry plants for both the garden centre and the professional growing market.

Due to continued growth they are now looking to strengthen their Management team. They require an experienced person who enjoys a challenge and is looking for career progression.

The position and responsibilities will be tailored to suit the skill set and growing experience of the successful candidate but the emphasis will be on growing and man-managing duties. In addition there will be some office/admin tasks so being computer literate is necessary. They have 2 sites approximately 20 acres with 6-12 staff.

Ideally the successful candidate should have formal qualifications in horticulture, ideally commercial horticulture along with PA1 & 6 spray certificates, forklift and first aid. These are not essential and training can be give. The salary will be negotiable and depending on the experience you have.

Working hours vary a bit depending on time of year, the average is around 45/47 hrs per week and low season 39 hrs. Some weekend work expected during peak season.
