We are excited to be working with a fourth-generation family-run nursery who are looking for a grower to join the team. Are you a grower supervisor looking for a new challenge? Or are you working in a commercial nursery with aspirations to build a career? Then this could be the job for you.

The Business

They are a successful commercial nursery supplying to garden centres, wholesalers, and landscapers. They grow across 10 hectares, growing in modern glass, polytunnels and outdoors. Specialising in bedding and pot plants, they grow the highest quality stock for their customers.

The Job

Working closely with the team, you will ensure that targets and deadlines are met. You will have a good understanding of pest and diseases and be confident in carrying out related tasks. You will assist in the growing and management of the crops, and take charge of specific, growing related activities. Spraying will fall into your remit, as well as any other general crop husbandry required.

You

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a commercial growing environment, ideally with hands-on growing skills in bedding or pot plants. You will enjoy variety in the role and be happy to take part in a range of tasks from potting to despatch. You will hold your PA1 and PA6 certificates, as spraying is a requirement in the role. You will be a strong team player and keen to meet targets set.
