About Our Client

A family-owned business, this fresh produce business supplies high-quality products to the UK supermarkets, Wholesale markets, and also Foodservice/Hospitality sector.

About the Role

As Head of Supply Chain, you will be a conduit between both the Operational and Commercial teams. Overseeing a small team, you will be responsible for the overall movement of the products produced and supplied. You will work with the buying team, and Stock control team to ensure orders can be fulfilled in full and on time. With this in mind, you will also need to ensure that the supply chain is cost-effective and waste is minimized at all times.

The Ideal Candidate

To be a successful Head of Supply Chain, you must think & act quickly to problems. You must have an understanding of the Food Retail supply chain and understand the difficulties that can occur when working with a product that has a very short shelf life. It is also important that you are a strong people person who can manage a team, moving them forward with their standards and ways of working.
