Nursery Site Manager

Warwickshire

Looking for something with a lot of variety?

Somewhere that you can actually make a change?

You'll be reporting to the owner of the business to learn the intricacies of the day-to-day, and with some real succession plans in place, this could not only be your next job but the one after that too.

What's the job?

No two days are the same. This versatile business will see you doing a bit of everything.

You will include being responsible for the day-to-day running of the leading Trade Cash and Carry and Wholesale Nursery.

They have 1000's of varieties on site at any one time, some traded stock and some own grown, so you'll be utilising your plant knowledge every day.

This role will see you supervising a team of six.

It's a customer-facing role, and you will be there to advise on plants, deal with quotes, source new plants and build relationships.

The role is very hands-on, and no two days are the same.

What will I have done?

You could come from a commercial nursery background. You might have a soft landscaping background. You may have been working in a garden centre.

Whatever part of horticulture you're in, this could be a good fit for you.

You need to have a wealth of plant knowledge and a strong understanding of plant growth and maintenance. Ideally, you'll have your PA1 and PA6 too.

You'll be confident in using computer software. They use Growmaster. It's ok if you haven't used this specific software before, they're happy to train on specifics as long as you're confident with technology.

As well as being plant-oriented, it also has a big people element. You'll be managing a team, working with the owner, and dealing with trade customers, so communication is key.

Sounds interesting, what's next?
