Rural Surveyor - Estate Management & Consultancy
Location: Salisbury

Our client is seeking a driven and collaborative Rural Surveyor to join their thriving Salisbury office. As a key hub within a leading property consultancy, the team offers a vibrant, multidisciplinary environment with outstanding opportunities for career progression.

This role presents a unique blend of estate management and professional advisory work, with exposure to a wide variety of clients and projects. The Salisbury team delivers a full spectrum of rural services, including consultancy, valuation, farming, and environmental advice. With a reputation for technical excellence, they advise some of the most prestigious landowners in the region.


Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as principal agent for a portfolio of estate management clients, delivering strategic and practical advice.
  • Conducting estate and farming business reviews to support long-term planning.
  • Supporting clients with the promotion of strategic land.
  • Undertaking secured lending and professional valuations.
  • Leading and mentoring junior team members, contributing to their development.
  • Monitoring client profitability and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal processes and client standards.
  • Collaborating across disciplines within the office to deliver integrated solutions.

Candidate Profile

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • MRICS-qualified rural surveyor (preferably Rural pathway) with 3-5 years' post-qualification experience.
  • RICS Registered Valuer (preferred).
  • CAAV membership or qualification (advantageous).
  • Strong leadership potential and ability to build lasting client relationships.
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator with a composed and professional manner.
  • A proactive team player with a desire to grow and contribute meaningfully.

Qualifications

  • Relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
  • MRICS qualification is essential.
  • RICS Registered Valuer and CAAV membership are desirable.
