Rural Surveyor | Landowner Compensation | Suffolk

Through continued growth, we are seeking an experienced rural surveyor to manage a challenging project representing landowners.

Our client

We are excited to be working with a small independent firm of chartered surveyors who are market leaders in their area. Providing exceptional service has led to their growth and continued development from a loyal client base.

The role

Due to a large utility project which is affecting many landowners, we are seeking a rural surveyor to undertake compulsory purchase negotiation on behalf of the landowners. This is a technical and contentious project with many implications. Up until now, the work has been carried out by the existing partners but through the growth of the company, they now require additional capacity. Full support in the handover will be given to fully understand the project and landowners' needs.

Working on behalf of the landowners you be ensuring their interests are protected throughout the process of managing the compulsory purchase process.

The candidate

Due to the nature of the work we are seeking someone with experience, idealy 10 years MRICS and with CPO experience. Someone with more direct utility experience but fewer years of MRICS would also be considered.

A high level of organisation and attention to detail is required to negotiate the complex deads of easements and compensation terms

The firm itself is directly affected by the project so you will clearly have skin in the game!

What you can expect

There is a great salary on offer and package to match and will be in line with experience.

In addition to this, the company currently works on a hybrid work system and is family-focused with flexible working partners
