Our Client

Our client has been going from strength to strength since they were first established in the 1970s and have grown hugely which now includes glasshouses, poly tunnels and an outdoor growing area. This is an exciting time to join the business as they continue to grow and establish themselves as a major player in the horticulture industry.

The role

The site supervisor role will support the site by giving supervision and oversight to the whole site on a day to day basis, ensuring not only are the plants efficiently produced but the staff are supported and sufficiently trained to carry out tasks safely. Supported by the line manager and guided by departmental managers operational needs of cultural, technical or despatch. The site will run a propagation and stock plant section and grow finished product for sale.

The candidate

The ideal candidate will be someone who is able to take short term and long term responsibility for specific tasks. In the absence of the manager be able to take responsibility for all aspects of running the team. Have knowledge and ability to propagate and grow a wide range of plants. Must have experience managing people. Have PA1 and PA6 spray certificates.
