The Worshipful Company of Fruiterers’ David Hohnen & Student Prize are awarded to students for outstanding levels of dedication and achievement in the field of horticulture and fruit in particular.
Our Exec Chairman Guy Moreton is a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Fruiterers having been elected a Freeman of the City of London a couple of years ago. Given MorePeople’s pedigree and long history working with the fruit industry, it’s a great body to be associated with. We are passionate about helping students make their way into the sector. We believe that there are some amazing careers to be had and there’s definitely demand for the next generation to make their way with some super clients.

What’s the prize?
There are two prizes for 2022 – the David Hohnen Prize winner will receive a £2,500 cheque and the Student Prize winner a £1,500 cheque!
In addition to this, winners will be invited to attend a major fruit industry event with opportunities to meet key industry leaders in the fruit sector as well as receiving formal recognition for their achievements – a great addition for your CV.
Who can apply, and how?
Current undergrads, recent grads, masters and PhD students can all enter by filling out an application form by 11th March 2022 and sending this to awards@fruiterers.org.uk.
