MorePeople Executive Networking - March

over 1 year ago by

Last week we had our third Executive Club Dinner of the year. March’s event was hosted by Team Leader for our Operations desk, Lawrence Rayner and was also joined by other Operations team members, Ollie Vayro and Austin Baker. Senior Operations leaders from various businesses within our industries were invited and we're pleased to report another successful evening.

Here’s a few of our testimonials from the evening;

“I had the pleasure of attending the MorePeople Executive Club dinner and it was truly an enlightening experience. The event provided a great opportunity to connect with leaders in our sector, and we were able to learn more about the challenges and opportunities in our industry. MorePeople did a fantastic job of facilitating the event and creating an atmosphere of collaboration and engagement. I would like to thank the team for marvellous evening.”

Parveen Mehta, Operations Director, Minor Weir and Willis

"I thoroughly enjoyed the evening. There was stimulating and insightful conversation amongst business and operational leaders, whilst enjoying great company, food and wine in delightful surroundings. Thank you for a memorable evening MorePeople."

Richard Wiles, Group Operations Manager, Projx Services

Austin, who is working on our Engineering Recruitment desk commented;

“The dinner was brilliant, great way to connect with people. We had to the opportunity to really discuss the reasons behind a lack of staffing in engineering and operations. (Lack of skills, lack of interest, too many poor agency workers). The discussion of Automation and robotics within the food industry, was another really interesting topic. The integration of robotics into facilities, the cost of the machinery, how it’ll reduce staff where not required, overall gains compared to the price of the machinery. Overall, good conversations, good food and a good time.”

Ollie added;

“I thought it was a good opportunity to meet people that usually you wouldn’t get chance to speak to because of busy schedules etc.
Also, good to get to talk to people face to face rather than over Teams or picking the phone up. Gives the likes of me and Austin a further insight into the industry, struggles faced and strategies of overcoming these.”
