On Wednesday 8th November Alice, who works on our agriculture desk, headed over to the University of Nottingham Sutton Bonnington Campus to be part of their employer roundtable event. The event was hosted for students in Agriculture and Animal Sciences who may not benefit from traditional careers fairs.
She was joined by some familiar faces from the world of agriculture, they had the chance to answer questions about recruitment in the industry including advice for students post-graduation.
Alice comments;
"Meeting young people who are passionate about a career in agriculture was brilliant. The industry has a bright future if these students are anything to go by. It was also a huge learning experience for me to understand the graduate opportunities on offer with some of our clients and to understand some of the problems they face with recruitment. It's great to see universities investing in opportunities like this for students in agriculture!"
