Their team is very experienced and has consistently delivered business growth. They are performing above the market averages and it's a great time to join them.

About The Role
This role is about continuing to offer independent garden centres the best range of products and service levels possible. You will utilise your experience to build long-term relationships with the garden centres in the region and deliver commercial growth. Your experience in the garden retail sector will aid you in planning for peak seasons, rolling up your sleeves merchandising when required, processing orders and introducing new product ranges to the customers. Getting across your territory to visit customers will form a big part of this role, so you will need to be flexible and able to travel. Your time will need to be used effectively, so you will be able to plan your weeks ahead of time and book customer visits. There will be some admin and order input onto a computer system too, but for the most part, you will be out dealing with the customers.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a background in or supplying to the garden retail sector. You will understand the seasonality and peaks in the garden sector and build customer plans to ensure they deliver commercial results and have sufficient stock for peak trading periods. You will be dynamic, articulate and driven to make a difference. This role has come about as a result of internal promotion and someone who is ambitious to progress their skills and career would be considered a good fit. You will be organised and a good communicator, but most of all, someone who can build relationships with the customers.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, as a minimum, you will need to have a great can-do attitude, be dynamic and driven and be a strong communicator. You will need to be able to demonstrate your ability to build relationships to deliver long-term commercial results.

Application Process
The successful applicant will move through a two-stage interview process. Whilst this can take time, our client is committed to making a decision as soon as possible.
