Our client is a leading manufacturer of fresh/chilled food. They supply the major UK food retailers, discounters and foodservice markets with a variety of products. They have a great reputation for quality and service levels and have built real, collaborative relationships with their customers. They have multiple locations across the UK, each with state of the art facilities that have seen significant investment. Our client is committed to delivering products that add value to their customers and consumers.

About the Role
This role will focus on the commercial relationship for our clients' Morrisons business. You will utilise your commercial account management experience to drive efficiencies and make the most of any commercial opportunities within the customer. You will work with category, NPD and operational departments to continue a successful relationship with Morrisons offering their customers the products that they want at a great price. You will be adept at using Excel and forecasting, vlookups, pivot tables et al will all come as second nature to you. You will use these skills to ensure a sufficient supply of products to meet the demands of consumers, whilst simultaneously reducing waste in a very fast-paced and short shelf-life product environment. You will be resilient and able to negotiate with the major retailers and, where required, push through price increases, advise buyers on range performance and make recommendations to deliver for Morrisons, consumers and your own numbers.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a proven commercial background in the chilled food sector supplying a major UK retailer - ideally Morrisons, but this is not a must. You will be a strong communicator and be able to stand on your own two feet and be self-assured. You will be able to problem-solve and work closely with internal/external teams to deliver. Your account management background will enable you to pull on your experience to negotiate with Morrisons to deliver results.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, as a minimum, you will need to have a relevant background in supplying a major retailer with fresh chilled food products. You will have a commercial account management background and be able to demonstrate your ability to influence retailer customers. You will be able to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to deliver across a business unit and group.
