About Our Client
Our client is a leading grower and supplier of plants to the landscape and construction industries. They are a family-owned and run business with a great reputation for quality and service. The existing team is made up of a group of professional horticulturists who have a fantastic amount of knowledge to pass on to someone who is keen and willing to learn. They have some ambitious plans to grow their business further and are therefore looking to fill this newly created role. The stock that they grow and sell includes a mix of shrubs, hedging, perennials, grasses and ferns.

About the Role
This role is all about sales and commercial support to the commercial director and business. You will build on your knowledge of plants and the landscaping and construction industries to deliver increased sales volumes and new business. You will be an energetic, driven and enthusiastic individual who can build rapport with customers and utilise your knowledge of horticulture and plants to deliver results. You will be confident in learning more about the products and industry to ensure you are offering the best service to customers and are able to build a book of your own sales. You will have experience in working to tight deadlines and experience in submitting tenders would be considered an advantage. You will also be responsible for keeping accurate records of quotes, customer requirements, sales etc.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of commercial horticulture and existing knowledge of, and interest in plants. You will have a proven track record of delivering sales and new business, ideally in the amenity landscaping or construction industries. Full training will be offered to the right candidate. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to build sales and manage your own sales funnel. You will possess a polite manner and be able to focus on customer service whilst delivering commercial results. Ideally, you will be able to help record data and report on the latest trends in the market.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, as a minimum, you will need to have an inquisitive mind and want to know more about commercial horticulture as well as the industries you will serve. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to deal with customers and impact commercial results. You will be a strong communicator and be able to present to customers over the phone, by email and face-to-face. You will be target driven and be able to work to KPI's and sales numbers.

Salary
DOE ~£20-25k Negotiable + great potential and good overall benefits
