Are you an experienced Financial Controller thinking about a change of scenery?

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced financial leader join a leading service provider that operate primarily in the fresh produce sector. The Role

To prepare and report on financial statements, ensure that the accounts are accurate and reliable plus provide support to the Finance Director and Managing director in all financial responsibilities. Other day to day responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Management of financial statements including annual audit.

  • Management of monthly performance vs. business plans

  • Cashflow management as delegated by THG

  • Manage the transactional processes of invoicing and payables

  • Monthly salary coding and analysis vs. budget and forecast

  • Preparation of the annual Budget and Reforecast

  • Manage the maintenance of the rate cards for all customers

  • Manage the financial aspects of Prophet and Qlik

  • Online minor procurement

  • Management of monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts

  • Management of submission of Corporation tax, VAT and national statistics

  • Line management of the Accounts team

  • Assist the Managing Director and Finance Director of manufacturing and the finance Director of THG in any appropriate financial tasks.

This role will be based at Teynham but will have responsibilities for Linton and Sittingbourne.

What are we looking for?

  • ACA, ACMA or ACCA qualified or equivalent

  • Experience in a senior accounting role

  • Excellent numeracy

  • Detailed knowledge and capabilities on Excel spreadsheets

  • Can confidently communicate to external stakeholders

  • Excellent written and spoken English skills

  • Ability to work unsupervised

  • Ability and willingness to be flexible, thorough and show attention to detail

  • Ability to work under pressure, to strict deadlines

  • Be organised and methodical in your approach to work

  • Ability to carry out the full range of duties on the job description.
