Glasshouse Supervisor
Lincolnshire | Full-Time | Mid-£30,000s

A progressive and profitable horticultural business is looking to appoint a Glasshouse Supervisor to support the next phase of expansion. With 10 hectares of cutting-edge glasshouse production already in place and further growth underway, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that invests heavily in both technology and people.

This is a hands-on role supporting all aspects of crop production, from climate control and team management to harvest readiness. You'll work closely with the wider operations team, including a dedicated Growing Manager and Assistant Grower, to ensure consistently high-quality outputs are achieved throughout the season.

Key Responsibilities:

Crop & Site Operations

  • Oversee daily production tasks across soft fruit crops
  • Monitor and adjust crop environment using PRIVA climate control systems
  • Work collaboratively with the Assistant Grower and technical partners

Team Supervision

  • Manage and motivate seasonal teams of up to 50 staff during peak season
  • Ensure efficient task allocation, performance monitoring, and quality control
  • Maintain strong communication across teams, including packhouse and spraying units
  • Flexibility to support across departments as required

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in soft fruit growing, ideally in glasshouse or protected cropping systems
  • Confident using tech-based systems like PRIVA
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills - able to manage diverse teams
  • Positive, proactive attitude with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment

Why Apply?

  • Join a growing and profitable business with a clear 5-year growth strategy
  • Be part of a company that values sustainability - with its own AD plant generating heat and power
  • Excellent opportunity for progression as the operation expands across sites
