About Our Client
Our client is a grower and supplier of a range of garden plants: bedding, perennials, shrubs, house plants and fruit and vegetable plants. They are well established and have been supplying UK gardeners for 20+ years. They produce quality plants from their own site from seed, as well as growing on other stock that they buy-in. They have a strong online presence and brand to build on. The business has some ambitious growth plans and they are at the beginning of an exciting journey to see them grow over the next 3-5 years. This is likely to include new premises and growing facilities to increase the volume of plants that they can produce.

About the Role
In this role, you will work closely within internal stakeholders and the wider market to identify commercial opportunities for the business. You will use your experience and skillset to make changes to the existing range through NPD, EPD etc to capitalise in any trends in the sector. You will work with the growing team to ensure the right crops of being grown to meet demand. You will have input on packaging and marketing materials, promotions, pricing with a remit of delivering commercial results and performance for the business. You will develop marketing strategies to build the customer base as well as increase touchpoints and interaction with existing customers.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this role would come from an eCommerce and Horticulture background. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to manage a range of products to deliver commercial results and business growth. You will be able to influence and manage others to deliver a first-rate customer experience and service. Ideally, you will have experience in a mail-order/B2C business with an online focus or eShop. You will have an eye for trends in the market and a feel for products that will appeal to customers and sell, whilst also being able to look at ePOS, sales and market data to make decisions.

Minimum Requirements
In order to be considered for this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate your ability to lead commercial results and business growth through the effective management of a range of products. You will need to understand eCommerce and commercial horticulture.
