Job description

Join a growing Infrastructure Consenting team as their next Associate Partner.

If you've got experience with Planning Act 2008 procedures and want to work on the projects shaping the UK's future, this is a brilliant opportunity.

Locations

Choose from London, Birmingham, or Leeds, with flexible working and a healthy balance between office time and working from home.

What you'll be working on

You'll be part of a fast‑growing team delivering major Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) across:

  • Rail

  • Mass transit

  • Roads

  • Power generation

  • Energy transmission

There's a strong forward workload too - meaning real opportunities to grow, develop, and help deliver some of the UK's largest new infrastructure projects, alongside major national upgrades.

What the team does

This Consents team has a proven track record across a wide range of consent regimes, including:

  • DCOs

  • TWAOs

  • Section 36

  • TCPA

They've recently submitted multiple DCOs, a multi‑billion‑pound TWAO, and several renewable TCPA applications - with more NSIPs now kicking off.

Who you'll be working with

You'll collaborate with some of the UK's largest infrastructure clients, as well as leading renewable energy developers and investment companies contributing to the UK's clean energy ambitions.

What's in it for you

A competitive salary and a brilliant benefits package, including:

  • Flexible benefits you can tailor

  • Option to buy extra leave

  • Health cash plans

  • Cycle to work

  • Gym membership

  • Flexible/agile working options

There are also excellent opportunities for career development and progression.

What it takes to thrive

You'll be a key member of a growing, ambitious team - carving out your own niche while delivering high‑quality professional services to existing clients and helping attract new ones.

This role suits:

  • A qualified planner (or similar) - MRICS or MRTPI

  • Someone with experience in NSIP or similar regimes

  • Someone who has managed large, complex project teams

You'll deliver technical, fee‑earning work alongside land teams and project managers, while also getting involved in business promotion - networking, seminars, thought‑pieces, legislation updates, and more.

You'll also take responsibility for project management, including programme and budgeting autonomy, with full support from senior colleagues.
