For more than 200 years our client has been in the heart of Bury St Edmunds providing products globally to an army of patrons.

The site in Bury St Edmunds is the historical home of this famous Brand providing fantastic quality products for two Centuries.

About the Job

Provide multi-skilled Engineering support to the production facility.

  • Able to fault find at pace to quickly identify the reason for the failure and put a place in place to recover.
  • Coach operatives to further develop the base knowledge of how the plant equipment works.
  • Lead safe working practices by using the associated safe systems of work at all times.
  • Fully use the Asset Care system to record all work.
  • Build relationships with Production staff to work as one team to achieve the KPIs.
  • Able to implement controlled changes that improve line performance and overall plant efficiency.
  • Use best practice methods to identify root causes.
  • Maintain, repair and improve PLC systems to reduce the mean time between failures.
  • Diagnosis of machine and process faults including pneumatic circuits, process equipment, pumps, valves etc

About the Job

You will have a proven history of on the tools working with the ability to show a solid foundation of knowledge and qualifications.

  • You will have a passion for all things engineering with a drive to achieve goals in a timely and professional manner.
  • City & Guilds Maintenance or recognised equivalent; or Service & Maintenance Apprenticeship - gained within the maintenance industry; or recognised apprenticeship as a heating engineer/plumber
  • Health and Safety Training
  • GCSE (or 'O' Level equivalent) passes in Maths and English or recognised equivalent
  • Experience with similar maintenance duties including fault diagnosis and rectification.
  • Experience in the Electrical aspects of general building PPM schedules
  • Experience in electrical installation, repair, and maintenance work
