Our client is a leading grower and supplier of fresh produce here in the UK. From their sites, they supply the UK supermarkets and foodservice channels with a variety of whole head and value-added food products. They have a great reputation for quality products and service levels, which has helped them to be one of the leading businesses in the fresh produce industry. They are vertically integrated and have established sources from across the world for seasonal produce when they aren't able to grow the required volumes themselves. They work in a very fast-paced environment and are at the forefront of modern-day food production. They have strong ties to their farming background and are proud to be a strong representative of UK agriculture.

About The Role
This role will support the head of finance for this site and will focus on accurate reporting to assist the business unit with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow etc. to ensure the business is running in a profitable state. You will utilise your experience in manufacturing and costing to monitor KPI's and the business scorecard to report any variance to budgets and forecasts. Our client would also like to hear from candidates that would be able to express their opinion on cap-ex projects and work with the internal stakeholders to ensure the finance team has a voice within the management team.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be CIMA qualified, although this is not a must. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to work with internal stakeholders to deliver accurate reporting. You will be able to asses and report true costs and monitor product line profitability, alerting the management team to any lines that fail to meet profit targets. You will be able to integrate yourself with the team and work across different departments - commercial, procurement, operations, technical etc. You will have experience in building, developing and using complex financial models, producing financial reports, preparing accounts for the end of year audits, preparing P+L, balance sheets and cash flow statements etc. You will be able to show your experience in utilising accounting software as well as Excel and be comfortable manipulating data in Excel too. You will also have experience in the food sector.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, as a minimum, you will need to have proven experience as a management accountant or a similar role within a manufacturing business. You will need to be a strong communicator, have excellent analytical skills, be numerate and commercially minded.

Salary
~£45k for a 12 month FTC
