Are you a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with experience in FMCG environment? Do you want to join a leading food manufacturer on a 6-month contract? If yes, then we have the perfect role for you!

We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team at over in Milton Keynes on a 6 month contract.

The Job

Performing planned and reactive maintenance on a variety of production machinery and equipment, such as conveyors, mixers, ovens, packaging machines, etc.

Troubleshooting and diagnosing faults using various tools and techniques, such as PLCs, multimeters, schematics, etc.

Ensuring compliance with health and safety, quality, and environmental standards and regulations

Working closely with other engineers, operators, and managers to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the plant

Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and projects to enhance performance, reliability, and efficiency of the plant

To be successful in this role, you will need:

A recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, such as NVQ Level 3, HNC, HND, etc.

Several years of experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in a FMCG environment, preferably food production

A good working knowledge of mechanical systems, components, and principles, such as hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, gears, etc.

A basic understanding of electrical systems and controls, such as motors, sensors, switches, etc.

A proactive, flexible, and team-oriented attitude, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills

A valid driving licence and the ability to work shifts, including weekends and nights
