Are you looking for an exciting and challenging role in the fresh produce sector with real progression opportunities? If so, this could be the role for you

About Our Client
Our client is a multi-national supplier of a variety of fresh produce. This division of the business is dedicated to UK retailer supply. They have a great reputation for quality products and services. They are dedicated to adding value to their customers through sustainable and efficient supply chains. As a vertically integrated business, their supply chains have a global reach and they bring the best produce from around the world to the UK supermarket shelves. They put a lot of effort into the development of their team and like to promote from within.

About the Role
The purpose of this role will be to deliver and fast, efficient and effective supply chain process. You will work closely with the senior buyer, growers, planning and product teams to ensure sufficient stock to complete orders, whilst minimising waste. You will set up stock consignments, allocate stock to orders, deal with rejections and build a long term working relationship with suppliers to deliver the best service to customers. You will work closely with stakeholders to proactively solve any potential supply issues.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this role will have some experience in a similar supply chain, planning or procurement support role. Exposure to fresh produce or fresh food would be considered a real advantage. As would knowledge of the retailer/fresh produce supply chain. You will be a strong communicator who can build long term relationships with suppliers and internal teams. Strong admin, Excel, planning and organisational skills will see you deliver efficient supply to the UK retailers. Ideally, you will speak Spanish or a second European language. You will want to develop your skills and career.

Minimum requirements
To be considered for this role, as a minimum, you will need to be a strong communicator who is highly organised and possesses excellent Excel skills, including V-Lookups and Pivot Tables. You will have the flexibility to work weekends on a rota basis or be open to working Thursday to Monday - there are two roles available, however, and if Thursday to Monday works for a candidate this will negate the need for the other person to work weekends on a rota.

Application Process
The successful applicant will move through a two-stage interview process, which will include a face-to-face presentation/task. An immediate start is available.
