Have you ever thought about working on a beautiful coastline, with one of the most picturesque cities in the country situated 30 miles away?

Do you want to be a part of a company that works with all major retailers, with some huge progression plans going forward?

Do you have some really strong team management and systems implementation experience?

What's in it for you?

You care about career progression and a great working environment. This company pushes on team progression.

You'll be working with some amazing coastal views, adding to job satisfaction, meaning there will always be one thing to love about the job. Beats working in a concrete jungle or open fields, doesn't it?

With that, the local property market is cheap, with the local villages having great access to beaches and the Scottish Capital.

You'd have several direct QAs to look after, whilst working very closely with the Technical Manager and Technical Director, so you'd be able to have some tremendous influence over some crucial company decisions.

Exposure to the Technical Manager's responsibilities will happen often, which will add to your professional development.

There are plans for the company to add to one of their already strong accounts to be a main supplier nation-wide for their produce. Providing you with security in the role.

The company has also been bought through huge investment to drive the business up. Growth plans are in place, so the next few years will have some serious projects taking place for you to be a part of.

The Company:

You'll be working for an industry leader in regards to the fresh produce market, with the company working with the likes of Tesco, Sainsbury's, M&S plus many others.

Having no competitors within the area, the business has very little risk of regression. They also have a B2B supplier list to the likes of Fenmarc, Greenyard, and Bakkavor, adding to that security and potential progression piece.

Apart from what you've just read, a lot of information about the company that I can give you is how generous of an opportunity they're providing for you.

Is this right for you?

To be suitable for a role such as this one, your understanding of quality has to be in-depth.

Whether you have fresh produce experience or food manufacturing experience, the key requirements that are crucial for this role are direct team management/supervisory experience and systems implementation experience/understanding.

Amongst those qualities, other desirable specifics include:

  • Grower and packhouse experience
  • Specific food-related qualifications (HACCP, Food Safety etc)
  • An eye for detail
  • Pragmatic approach to completing tasks
  • Evidence of leadership abilities

What's next?

You'll know you're right for the role if you've made it this far and are still curious to hear more about the specific responsibilities, but who wants to read about responsibilities they already know are necessary within such a role?
